Watch Out For SUDDENLY In Your Screenwriting!

"He walked slowly through the forest when suddenly a twig snapped!"

Ahem! 🤦🏻‍♂️

Well, that works in a book, but it is not so great in a screenplay. Find out why this use of the overused adverb 'suddenly' might not be the best choice of words in your screenwriting.

This is all about polishing and standing out as a better writer. Adverbs aren't illegal. There's no rulebook for this, but then there's no rulebook about conversation or door to door sales. Both of these can yield annoying scenarios, and this doesn't really matter in everyday life.

When it comes to your screenwriting and the sale of your screenplay, however, it is essential to not annoy or bore your reader.

Go the extra mile and sweep your screenplay for unnecessary adverbs!
